6 days Uganda Gorilla Trek & Serengeti Safari is a combined adventurous combined Uganda and Serengeti safari offering you an opportunity to visit mountain gorillas and abundance of wildlife. On this safari of 6 days and 5 nights, you are to visit Bwindi impenetrable national park found in Uganda – the pearl of Africa. Bwindi is the home to the largest population of mountain gorillas in the world and during this tour, you will have one hour encounter with these amazing and fascinating creatures.

The next destination to visit on this safari is Serengeti national park the most iconic and popular wildlife destination in East Africa and Africa as well, the park is a home to abundance of wildlife including large concentrations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants among others which you will encounter during game drives.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 6 DAYS UGANDA GORILLA TREK & SERENGETI SAFARI

Day 1: Arrival in Kampala & Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be welcomed by our safari guide and after a short briefing about the safari you will embark on a journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park on a journey of approximately 8 hours. Along the way you will have a stopover at the equator for pictures and a chance to stand in both Northern and Southern hemispheres at once, another stopover in Mbarara for lunch. You will arrive in Bwindi national park in evening, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about mountain gorilla trekking experience, senior rangers will take you through the dos and don’ts during the trekking, be grouped into 8 people and be assigned a gorilla family to trek. Hike into the jungle of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, gorilla trekking takes approximately 2-4 hours depending on the gorilla family you are trekking and where it spent the previous night. Once you locate the gorillas, you are allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while taking pictures and observing their amazing behavior. You are allowed to take pictures as long as your flashlight is off.

You will then head back to the starting point where you will meet your driver – guide and transfer back to your lodge, spend the evening resting, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: transfer to Kampala – fly to Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Wake up early for breakfast, checkout of your lodge and depart for Kampala, along the way you will have lunch in Mbarara. Proceed to Entebbe International airport where you will be dropped off to catch your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha City – Tanzania.

Day 4: transfer to Serengeti National park

Enjoy morning breakfast, depart for Serengeti national park on a journey of about 4-5 hours, arrive in the park in time lunch which you will enjoy after checking in. in the afternoon you will go for game drive in the endless plains of Savannah plains of Serengeti national park.

Serengeti national park is undoubtedly the most iconic and rewarding destination in East Africa hosting the high concentrations of elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs and other wildlife species which you will watch during the game drives. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Game drive in Serengeti National Park

You will spend the day in Serengeti national park exploring on morning and afternoon game drive with picnic lunch or lunch at your lodge. Serengeti national park is a home to a huge population of wildlife which you will enjoy watching during the drives along the trails running through the reserve.

Day 6: departure

After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and with en-route game drive you will depart for Arusha where you will be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight back home or to your next adventure.
